Pair of Wedgwood Black Basalt Plaques, England, early 19th century, oval shapes with slightly convex surfaces, each with applied figure: a pensive maiden and a man holding a scroll, impressed marks, lg. 8 in.

Each in very good condition. The back edge of the maiden plaque with some chipping.
