12-inch Disc Musical Box and Discs, Switzerland, late 19th century, floral- and bird-inlaid dome-top case opening to a black and gold reverse-painted glass tablet frame on underside of lid, single bedplate with opposing 4 1/2-in. combs, lever crank in front, and slow/fast lever on side, turned and carved columns at the four corners, with approximately fifty discs, case wd. 19 1/2 in.

plays strong, stop/start lever needs adjustment. appears the case has been off the base and re-attached in different screw holes, small chip to interior glass tablet at corner.
