Two James Reed Surveyor's Compasses, Washington and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, mid-19th century, early 6-in. dia. silvered dial reading "J. Reed Washington, Penna./No. 25," with a fleur-de-lis representing north, outkeeper, and two reproduction sighting vanes; and a James Reed & Co. no. 320 with vernier, (lacking needle and sighting vanes).
