William Clark & Son Surveyor's Compass, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1845, original lacquered instrument with 6-in. dia. silvered dial engraved "Wm. Clark & Son/Philadelphia," blued-steel needle with needle lifter on underside, dual spirit levels and sighting vanes, all housed in its original fitted box.
