New England Gilt-front Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, c. 1815, inset rope-molded frames enclosing the reverse-painted glasses, the throat glass marked "Willard's Patent," flanked by brass side ornaments, cast brass bezel and convex glass over the painted roman numeral iron dial with barbed hands, eight-day time-only brass movement with through-bolt case attachment, powered by a lead weight and regulated by a pendulum, ht. 37 in.
