Gardner Parker No. 126 Inlaid Mahogany Tall Clock, c. 1798, fret-top case with freestanding reeded columns flanking the roman numeral painted iron dial reading in the arch "Warranted for Noah B. Kimball 1798," above the raised gilt and floral decoration, date aperture and two birds adorning the center with signature below reading "G. Parker, fecit/No. 126," full-length waist door with oval inlay engaged quarter-columns, and resting on ogee bracket feet, eight-day time and hour-strike movement with false plate marked "Osborne Manufactory Birmingham," regulated by a brass-faced wooden rod pendulum and two gilt-painted tin-cased weights, ht. 89 in.

Note: Interior typed letter reads in part: "This clock was made for Noah B. Kimball of Grafton, Mass. by G. Fisher in 1798. Sold by Noah B. Kimball at auction to John H. Barker, N. Grafton, Mass. about 1820.

Bradford Cheney and Robert Cheney cards with dates of 1979 and 1985 attached to the interior. case feet restored by David Gow March 2006, object right upper case molding off but present.
