Lambert Sachs (Pennsylvania/Germany, 1818-1903)

Portrait of a Boy and His Dog
Signed and dated "L. Sachs/1863" on table leg.
Oil on canvas, 52 1/4 x 38 1/2 in., in a gilt-gesso frame.
Condition: Scattered spots of retouch, two tears near the right edge, areas/spots of pigment loss, varnish discoloration, gesso losses to frame.
Estimate $1,500-2,500
