Description:

Small Upholstered Mahogany Armchair, England or America, late 18th century, the serpentine crest above shaped arms, and straight seat rail above square tapering legs joined by an H-stretcher, ht. 40 1/4, seat ht. 17 in.

the upholstery has some minor imperfections, there are minor cracks and old nail/tack holes at tops of a leg or two, the cross-stretcher is half-dovetailed as usual. The upholstery has not been removed to look at the chair's construction.
