Inscibed on the back of image "Presented to Capt. Caleb Carrier, Commanding the U.S. Revenue Cutter Mc Lane By His Most Obedient & Humble Servant John B Meigs, Lieut, U.S. Revunue Service, New-Bedford, 1838."
Watercolor on paper, 12 1/8 x 17 in., in a molded and black-stained frame.
Condition: Minor toning.

The paper has toned . There are some small discolored spots at the top edge of the paper on the reverse. There are very minor stains and abrasions to the paper on the front. There is no evidence of tears, creases, or repairs.
