Description:

Slip-banded Shouldered Jug, England, c. 1860, decorated with blued slip bands bracketing a field of taupe slip, the front with printed inscription within an oblong frame reading "HENRY GALE/BOTTLESFORD," extruded handle with foliate terminals, ht. 6 1/8 in.
