"Sure he's a fine lad, your boy, Mike..." Signed "Orson Lowell" l.r., identified on an exhibition label affixed to the frame backing paper. Pen and ink on paper/board, sight size 23 x 20 1/2 in., framed. Condition: Pale toning, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: The collection of Frederic and Jean Sharf, Massachusetts and Florida.
N.B. The exhibition label indicates that this drawing was published on Judge magazine, November 26, 1910. The figures discuss a young man, who is presumed to be a chauffeur by one speaker, but who is actually an elevator operator in the Astor Building.
