Antique 18kt Gold and Lapis Necklace, Fanniere Freres, France, with silver satyr, putto, and mask motifs, lg. 18 1/4 in., maker's mark and guarantee stamps, signed.

Note: Francois-Auguste and Joseph-Louis Fanniere were highly respected jewelers and goldsmiths in 19th century Paris. They supplied the firms of Froment-Meurice and Wiese, and later participated in Universal Expositions under their own name, winning the Grand Prize in 1878 and 1889.
