Manuscript Painting, Persia, 16th/17th century, ink, color, and gilt on paper, probably from the Shahnameh, depicting groups of men in discussion under a canopy, with four columns of nastaliq calligraphy above and below, the landscape continued beyond the lined borders, framed and glazed, sight size 12 x 8 1/2 in, and a manuscript page with four columns of nastaliq calligraphy taped to the reverse of the frame.
