Gandharan Gray Schist Buddha Head, Kushan, possibly 2nd/3rd century, finely carved with heavy lidded eyes and full lips, the stone of highly polished gray schist, ht. 7 in.

Provenance: Purchased in Karachi in the 1960s by an Edward Durell Stone architect, then by descent to the present owner.
