Blue-ground Kyoto Kinkozan Satsuma Vase, Japan, late 19th century, bulbous form with waisted neck on a stemmed foot, decorated with a mountain-and-water landscape and a rooster and hen under wisteria in two panels against a cobalt blue ground with a fish-and-wave design in gold, both scenes sealed "Sozan," signed "Kyoto Kinkozan jo" in an ornate rectangular cartouche in gold on base, ht. 6 3/8 in.
