Jim Dine (American, b. 1935)

Toothbrush, 1973, edition of 35 plus proofs, published by Petersburg Press, New York (Williams College, 106). Signed, numbered, and dated "Jim Dine 33/35 1973" in pencil along lower edge. Etching on paper, plate size 9 5/8 x 7 5/8 in. (24.3 x 19.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Deckled edges, gentle toning and several pale fox marks to deckles, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $500-700

Although the work has not been removed from its frame, the sheet is fully visible, and measures 22 3/4 x 18 1/4 inches. The deckles on the left and right sides - which are broader than those on the top and bottom - have some toning and pale foxing. The are no other visible issues.
