Georges Braque (French, 1882-1963)

Paroles Peintes, 1962, from a proof edition of 25 (Vallier, 183). Signed "G Braque" in pencil l.r., initialed within the plate, numbered "XXI/XXV" in pencil l.l. Color etching and aquatint on paper, plate size 13 5/8 x 9 3/4 in. (34.5 x 24.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Gentle rippling, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Out of the frame the sheet measures approximately 17 1/4 x 12 inches, but the edges are uneven. The image is gently light-toned. There are pencil annotations and staining along the upper edge both on the verso.
