Signed "W.L. Metcalf" l.l., signed, inscribed, dated, and titled "Willard L. Metcalf/Boston 1881/'Harvesting'" on the reverse, identified on a label from Vose Galleries of Boston affixed to the frame backing board.
Oil on canvas (stretched with Boston tabs),16 x 20 in. (40.8 x 66.0 cm),in a period frame.
Condition: Minor retouch.
