Oil on panel, 12 x 20 in. (30.5 x 50.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Scattered retouch.

Provenance: A Massachusetts estate.

The retouch is very finely done and consists of a scattering of multiple subtle dots and dashes throughout the sky, a cluster of small dots on the rock in the right foreground with a line to cover a frame abrasion at the l.r. edge, and with another small area of retouch in the l.l. corner. The retouch blends well into the surface, with only one small vertical line measuring 5/8 inch at the u.c. edge which presents as a subtle imperfection in raking light.
