Condition: Lined, minor retouch.

Provenance: A Massachusetts estate.

Frame measures 17 3/4 x 22 1/2 in. (45.0 x 54.5 cm).

Retouch consists primarily of two dots as follows: One dot in upper left quadrant measuring 1/2 inch diameter located in the pale pink sky just above the mountain, about 3 1/4 inches in from the left edge; a second dot located in the upper right quadrant, measuring 1/4 inch in diameter, in the mountain; there is a cluster of very tiny dots in the corner on the u.l. and a bit of transfer of gold from the frame along the u.c. edge. Craquelure is subtle and stable. Wax lining with a fairly taught surface.
