Unsigned, identified and dated "...1824" on a presentation plaque affixed to the frame.
Oil on canvas, 18 1/8 x 23 in. (46.0 x 58.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure, varnish discoloration.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Framed dimensions are 21 3/4 x 26 3/4 inches , with a label from Nelson D. Thomson, White Plains, New York, on the back of the frame.

Incised "M.V. KELLEY" on the back of the stretcher.

The presentation plaque appears to have been saved from a previous frame and attached to this new frame. Lining and retouch were done so long ago that there is very little fluorescence under black light. Craquelure is prominent but stable.
