Sumo, from an edition of 10,000, published by Taschen, Cologne, 1999. Stamped/numbered "08058" and signed "Helmut Newton" in blue crayon on one of the opening pages. Collector's edition book with Philippe Starck-designed metal stand, 28 1/4 x 20 1/2 x 3 in. (71.6 x 52.0 x 17.5 cm).
Condition: Dust jacket with scattered tears including one at top of spine repaired with scotch tape.
Provenance: Collection of Maria Lopez and Stephen Mindich, Massachusetts.

The dust jacket is toned along the edge and shows handling marks and creases, plus several abrasions and one tear. The interior looks much fresher. There is some dust between some pages and the edges of the pages are evenly toned. The lot does not have the original box.
