Biedermeier Mahogany-veneered Secretary, northern Germany or Baltics, 19th century with alterations, oval-form upper part with arched top with fall-front, above a drawer, fall-front opens to satinwood-lined interior with mirror-backed colonnade and four small drawers, lower rectangular part with single drawer set on flared feet, brass rod and cut-brass decorative attachments, ht. 79 1/2, writing surface ht. 32, wd. 30, dp. 18 in.

Age expected wear, crack to right rear leg, one section of decorative brass rod detached, but present. Two decorative brass rods missing. Interior possibly of a later date.
