Giovanni Battista Piranesi (Italian, 1720-1778)
Six Engravings of Views and Plans of The Pantheon. Most signed in the plates "Cav. Francesco Piranesi..." or "Piranesi f" l.r., titled within the compositions, with plate number in u.r. corners. Engraving and etching on heavy laid paper, plate sizes to 26 5/8 x 18 3/4 in. (67.5 x 48.0 cm),unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Some with staining, foxing, toning especially to the edges, handling creases, most with center creases, small tears and wear to the edges of the sheets.

One sheet with watermark of a small house with birds on the roof.
There are two different sheet sizes in the lot, the larger measures 22 1/2 x 31 1/4 inches; the smaller measures roughly 16 1/2 x 22 1/2 inches.
