Two Paul McCobb Planner Group Maple Two-drawer Nightstands, Winchendon, Massachusetts, mid-20th century, ht. 25 1/2, wd. 24, dp. 18 in.

Provenance: A Wellfleet Massachusetts Estate.

Note: Professor Kenneth A. Johnson was a National Science Foundation Fellow at the Institute for Theoretical Physics in Copenhagen in the 1950s prior to joining M.I.T. and purchased many of the items in Denmark that would later furnish his Karl Koch-designed home in Lincoln, Massachusetts.

scratches, wear, and finish loss to the top and sides of each, with water stains and scratches to the drawer front, one with large abrasion to the right side, one with splits to both sides and top, and nicks and abrasions to the posts and chips to the back side.
