Yaure Face Mask, hollowed-out form, with a stylized beard perimeter, a small pursed mouth, and long tubular nose dividing elongated slit eyes, the coiffure incised with geometric designs supporting two curved bush cow horns, dark brown/black patina, ht. 13 in.
Provenance: Mauricio and Emilia Lasansky collection, Iowa City, Iowa; by descent to the present owners; Pierre Verite, Paris, purchased in 1965.
