Description:

Hopi Wood Katsina Doll, representing Lenang, the Flute Kachina from the Mixed Katsina Dance, with red-painted body and yellow and pale blue legs, forearms, and shoulders, wearing a feathered cape trimmed with red tradecloth, the sack mask with hatched marks on the cheeks, rectangular mouth and eyes and long coiffure surmounted by a crown of wood pegs, ht. 9 1/4 in.
