Veracruz Head Fragment, classic period, 450-650 AD, the elaborately adorned warrior's head with banded helmet, medallions at each side and secured with a chinstrap, wearing large tasseled ear ornaments, with pellet pupils and lips parted, areas highlighted with bitumen, ht. 8 1/4 in.
