Kuba Divination Object, in the form of a crocodile, with typical interlocking geometric patterning on either side of the animal, wearing a beaded necklace, complete with the rubbing tool, smooth dark brown patina, lg. 19 in.
Provenance: The Charles and Blanche Derby collection, Northampton, Massachusetts; purchased from the Bernheimer Gallery, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1975.
