Tabwa Face Mask, Democratic Republic of the Congo, anthropomorphic face mask with cutout mouth and eyes, triangular nose, and protruding ears, incised lines around the eyes and running across the face and up the forehead to the well-defined and detailed coiffure, overall rich brown patina, the present mask one of only three known examples, ht. 12 1/4 in.
