Description:

Ogoni Face Mask, Karikpo, pierced around the rim for attachments, with an open heart-shaped mouth, wide nose below large cutout eyes, central raised ridge on the forehead, and two angular horns (ends missing), dark encrusted patina, ht. 10 1/4 in.

Provenance: The Nicholas Rubano collection, New Hampshire.
