Description:
Rosalind Smith (American, 20th Century)
Two Prints of Children Holding Flowers: Rusti and Seated Girl. Both signed "Rosalind Smith" in pencil l.r., Rusti titled l.c., numbered "34/50" l.l., Girl numbered "A.P. VIII/XV" l.l. Woodblock prints on Japan paper, sight sizes to 23 3/4 x 13 in., framed. Condition: Both with unusual coloration to the margins, thought to be mat burn from a previous mounting, not examined out of frames.
Estimate $200-250
The coloration to the margins is an ochre tint on one and olive-green tint on the other, suggesting perhaps they had been in colored mats.
