Orson Byron Lowell (American, 1871-1956)
What is the Home Anyway. Unsigned, titled in pencil and inscribed "Blue print-Rush-/March" beneath the composition, identified in a printed label affixed to the frame backing paper. Pen and ink on paper, sight size 30 3/4 x 21 in., framed. Condition: Creasing, soiling, small tears to the margins, toning, not examined out of frame.
N.B. The label affixed to the reverse indicates that this drawing was published in Pictorial Review in March, 1919, illustrating the uncertainty felt during the post-World War I period when families did not know for sure if their loved ones would return.
