Charles Dana Gibson (American, 1867-1944)
A Reception at an Art Museum. Signed "C.D. Gibson" in ink l.l., inscribed "95...2/Oct. 15" in pencil l.l. and "200." l.r., identified on a printed label affixed to the frame backing paper. Pen and ink on paper, sight size 13 3/4 x 13 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Pale staining, subtle rippling, tack hole to l.l. corner, toning, not examined out of frame.
N.B. The label on the back provides the title and indicates that this early drawing was an illustration for LIFE magazine, December 1887.
