Charles Dana Gibson (American, 1867-1944)
A Fashionable Young Lady. Unsigned, identified on a printed label affixed to the frame backing paper. Pen and ink on paper with underdrawing possibly in charcoal, sight size 20 x 14 in., framed. Condition: Scattered small ink spots, not examined out of frame.
N.B. The label affixed to the back ascribes the drawing to Gibson, provides the suggested title, and dates the drawing to c. 1923, based upon the style of the dress. It is thought to have been published in LIFE magazine, although no specific issue is listed on the label.
