French Violin, Honoré Derazey, c. 1840, bearing the manuscript label Gaspard duffoprugard./in BoBoninsis. Anno. 1699., the decorated back, the ribs incised VIVA FVI IVI SYLVIS DEO VI MORT VA DVL CE, the carved head, the silver plaque engraved Presented to/Henry Herkamer/by Geo. Miller, length of back 363 mm.

Glued crack to back next to sound post, cleated back center seam, some replaced/reglued purfling to top, touch-up to edges, plugged holes to head (three per side) likely from mechanical tuners.
