U.S. Model 1898 Krag Rifle and Bayonet, c. 1903, serial number 435038, .30-40 caliber, walnut stock with a 1903-dated cartouche, marked on the receiver "U.S./MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 435038," barrel lg. 30, overall lg. 49 1/4 in.

Some light rust on the muzzle area and butt plate, the stock has a few dings and nicks, the action functions properly, and the bore is dirty with some light pitting.
