Indian Used, Cut Down, U.S. Model 1884 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle, c. 1884, serial number 495268, .45-70 caliber, walnut stock with brass tacks and some light carving and rawhide wrapped around the forestock, lock marked "US/SPRINGFIELD," barrel lg. 24, overall lg. 43 1/2 in.

Stock has some wear from use, and there is some light rust. The cock looks like it has been repaired.
