U.S. Model 1842 Springfield Musket and Bayonet, c. 1847, .70 caliber, walnut stock, steel fittings, lock marked "SPRING/FIELD/1847" with an eagle over "US," barrel has "V/P" proof marks on the left side of the breech, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 58 in.

Stock has a few dings and nicks, some light powdery rust on some of the parts, and the lock functions properly.
