Ames Model 1860 Cavalry Officer's Saber, brass hilt with foliate designs, wire-wrapped shagreen grip, steel blade with "US," foliate designs, and a panoply of arms, steel scabbard with brass fittings, upper band marked "AMES MFG CO/CHICOPEE/MASS.," blade lg. 34 3/4, overall lg. 41 in.

Hilt is in good condition, blade has a few light pits and engraving is light, scabbard has a few small dings and dents on the brass drag.
