French Powder Horn, c. 1730s, horn carved on one side with a crest, a man killing a bear, with the motto in French "Virtue and Courage/Above All," and on the other side "During War and Peace" with another crest, a suit of armor, and panoply of arms, overall lg. 9 1/2 in.
