Pair of Scottish Flintlock Pistols by W. Brander, c. 1760s, steel stocks engraved with foliate designs, top of the barrels marked at the breech "W BRANDER LONDON," cannon-style barrels engraved with foliate designs, with steel ramrods, barrel lg. 8 3/8, overall lg. 13 3/4 in.

Both pistols in good overall condition, the cocks were replaced sometime in the early 19th century with a reinforced style. One functions properly with a tight mainspring and the second needs some repair of the mainspring.
