Description:

British Private Contract Fusil Made by Richard Wilson Marked New Jersey, London, England, c. mid-18th century, .69 caliber, walnut stock, brass fittings, engraved on the butt plate tang "NEW=JERSEY," and the remnants of "10" on the wrist plate, lock marked "WILSON," the barrel has proof marks as well as a star over "RW," and "LONDON" on the top of the barrel, with an iron ramrod, barrel lg. 38 3/8, overall lg. 54 3/4 in.

Stock has a few dings and nicks as well as a few filled in dents, there is a small amount of wood loss at the base of the entry pipe into the stock, and the lock functions properly.
