British Pattern 1742 Long Land Service Musket Marked to the 35th Regiment of Foot, c. 1746, .78 caliber, lock engraved behind the cock "IORDAN/1746" and crown over "GR" and with crown broad arrow government ownership mark below the pan; walnut stock with carved "CL" on right side of butt, inspector's mark behind the trigger guard; barrel with ordnance view and proof marks at the breech and crown over "EI" barrel maker's stamp on the left; furniture proper for pattern, buttplate engraved "RGT/XXXV/D/6," thumbpiece engraved "O/71," barrel lg. 46, overall lg. 62 in.
