French Model 1768 Musket Marked "Salem," c. 1768, .70 caliber, walnut stock marked on the right side of the butt "SALEM" and "IN," marked on the left side of the butt "IF," lock marked "Charleville," remnants of a light proof mark on the left side of the breech, and an iron ramrod, barrel lg. 44 5/8, overall lg. 59 1/2 in.
