Cutwork Paper Valentine, Joseph Kehl, Pennsylvania, 1862, decorated throughout with animals, figures, hearts, and flowers, and inscribed in pencil in German, (minor toning, minor repair),13 1/2 x 13 1/2 in., floating on a red-painted background within a molded walnut frame.

Provenance: Acquired from William Schwind, Yarmouth, Maine, at White Plains Antiques Show, November 18, 1976.
