Horatius Cocles
. Monogrammed "GP" in the plate u.c. Engraving on paper, 3 x 4 5/8 in. (7.8 x 11.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Trimmed to the plate mark, minor foxing and staining, floated within the mat so that the edges are visible, not examined out of frame.

N.B. The print depicts Horatius defending the bridge leading to Rome against an Etruscan invasion in the late 6th century B.C.E.
