Polyphon 15-inch Style No. 51 Disc Upright Musical Box, Germany, c. 1905, mahogany case with turned vasiform gallery above a turned, fluted, and carved Corinthian half-column hinged door, the full-length painted porcelain panel reading "Musk-Automat/Polyphon" with an image of a goddess playing the harp, on a similarly decorated base, all resting on turned flattened bun feet, gilt bedplate with double comb, engraved silvered zither plate reading "Patent/Brevete/SG.DG/Patented," and three cast gilt disc rollers, lower cabinet holding thirty-three discs, ht. 72 in.
