Two Early French Pocket Clinometers, 19th century, a mahogany- and brass-cased example with hinged arm, hinged lid with interior mirror, silvered scale, and blued-steel arm, brass rear plate engraved in part "Charles Chevalier/Palais Royal 163, Paris"; and a square, hinged example with interior scale marked "H. Bellieni Constructeur A Nancy," with exterior needle lock down.
