Adams & Sons 18kt Gold Hunter Case Watch and Chain, London, mid-19th century, enameled porcelain dial with blued-steel hands, and sunk seconds, cuvette engraved "Adjusted to heat and cold," plate marked "F.B. Adams & Sons/No. 73404/London," with bimetallic balance, key-wind, chain fusee movement, housed in an engraved floral decorated case, dia. 54 mm, 157g.
Note: This watch reportedly belonged to Fredrick Huntington Gillet, Massachusetts Senator and Speaker of the House between 1879-1931.
